The monoliths of public electric chargers, which are usually of large dimensions, and which must also carry the cable and the connector, would have to be installed on the sidewalks in sufficient numbers to feed an increasingly growing volume of electric vehicles (private, public, taxis, commercial, etc.).

The sidewalks of the cities, which are usually not too large, already incorporate many facilities: streetlights, trees, litter bins, terraces of bars and cafeterias, benches, trash bins and a long etcetera.
